Amy ♥ Tait : Just Married!

I can not believe this is my job. After spending several weeks traveling back and forth between New Orleans and Baltimore for Spring weddings I was blessed to close out my long journey with Amy + Tait in West Bend, Wisconsin. Just as I add the tags to this post I am reminded of this wedding’s supreme awesomeness: Wisconsin, Lakeside, Red Dress, Fire Poi, and Hula Hoops!!! I raise a glass to the universe in thanks for my life and wish an equal amount (or MORE!) of positivity would rain on the rest of you. OK…I suppose it’s time to show some pictures. If you need a refresher and don’t remember the last post I made from this trip, check out West Bend to set the mood…

I ♥ all of it’s bright colors and different patterns in this blanket. It made such a great backdrop for their wedding rings.

Later I learned that he also made his necklace, though I can’t remember the tree that it came from. He carried his vows close to his heart this morning…and hopefully for many mornings to come.

Tait poses well for his first professional portrait!

Driving to the lake house where the ceremony will take place…I pulled over to take this…I ♥ road trips.

Below is their guest tree…guess who made it…right, the Groom! So much productivity comes from a life without facebook. ;-) You’ll notice the bit of red in the trunk. The paper there is torn through to the back, where Tait attached a piece of the fabric he made to represent the heart of the tree. BEAUTIFUL!!

I am still in awe of Amy’s dress!!! I just love it with the silver accents.

Tait knew there was red IN the dress. But I don’t think he expected to see a rose walk down the isle in his direction…below is his reaction! ♥ I couldn’t find an image worthy of pairing with it…it was just so wonderful by itself.

Forgot to mention that the lake house belongs to Amy’s Mother. What a sweet thing, to be married in a familiar backyard surrounded by people who love you.

Below, Amy smiles as Tait reads his vows. I remember something about an orange in there. ;-)

…”and then let us eat cake!” -Amy

Such lovely families!!! Everyone was SO SO SO kind and welcoming.

One of my favorite parts of every wedding is the time I get to spend with just the Bride + Groom for portraits. Some of the best images are made during this time…AND…it’s so lovely to see the newlyweds enjoying each others’ company with a bit of quiet time.

After their portraits Amy + Tait joined the rest of their friends and family for an afternoon of swimming, eating, and drinking…I put my camera down and joined them!!! While I don’t have any pictures to prove it, the memory alone makes up for hours of editing spent in preparation for this post. ;-)

Then it was back to work! I forgot to mention that Tait also made the pants he wore!!! He is quite talented…go Amy!

If you read the West Bend post you’ll remember my kind words about Nicki + Patrick. While Patrick wasn’t swirling around, his lovely lady was and you can see her in the white shirt below making magic with that hoop!

How lovely was this wedding?!?!? Congratulations to Tait, Amy and their family! You are all so wonderful and I feel so blessed to have worked for and spent time with you.
